The Craft Guild at the Coralville Public Library

For the last several years, at the invitation of the Coralville Public Library, the Craft Guild has had the opportunity to share information about our organization with the public during the month of August. We display crafts from each of the guild craft groups in a display cabinet in the Community Room and demonstrate fiber crafts, e.g., weaving, spinning, knitting, and braiding, on Saturdays in August in the library lobby. These demonstrations include providing adults and kids the opportunity to try their hands at some of the crafts. This year we had close to 100 people stop by the lobby while we were there. Kids as young as 4 and "kids" old enough to be retired seemed to enjoy weaving on our looms.
