September - Scandinavian Weaving We Learned at Vesterheim
Presented by Cathy Willoughby, Lucy Hansen, John Ward, and Linda Bergquist
Introduction to the Vesterheim Folk Art School and an overview of two great Vesterheim workshops we attended: Telemarksteppe and Patterns within Patterns. Telemarksteppe is a three block overshot that originated in Norway. Patterns Within Patterns was a class on an interesting variation on Monks Belt with inlay.
October - Let’s go to Portugal!

Monica will share her wonderful trip to Portugal and all the weaving inspiration she found there.
November - Krokbragd
Presented by Deb Zeitler, Bev Pernell, Lucy Hansen, Cathy Willoughby, Linda Bergquist, John Ward, and Nita Schmidt
What have those Krokbragd people been up to upstairs anyway? They will present an overview of Krokbragd, a weft faced Norwegian weaving structure, and an update on the group rug weaving project started last year.

January - Tapestry Weaving (Zoom)
Presented by Susan Iverson on Zoom
Susan Iverson is a distinguished textile artist and Professor Emerita, having retired from the School of the Arts, Department of Craft/Material Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University. Her tapestries, woven in her rural Virginia studio, are widely exhibited in both national and international exhibitions. She will highlight her pulled warp technique.
February - Color Confidence & Design (Zoom)
Presented by Sarah Jackson on Zoom
Sarah is a past technical editor with Handwoven and has been a popular teacher on Zoom and at a variety of weaving conferences. This Zoom session will give you confidence in color choices as you design your next project.
March - Design Tricks for Plaited Twills
Presented by Betty Huttner
Betty will share information about plaited twills that she learned in her class at Convergence 2024 in Wichita.
April - Making the Most of One Warp
Presented by Vicki Tardy
Vicki will show us how to weave multiple towels on one warp using variations in treadling and yarn.
May - Towel Exchange & Tips and Tricks for Finding Resources
Towel Exchange
Plan to join our Towel Exchange in May! Put your name on the list or let Nita know you are joining sometime before April. We don’t have a lot of rules. Your towel should be somewhere in the towel range (18-24” wide and 25-30” long).
