Quilting on a small scale

We generally have eight quilters sitting around the table at our monthly meetings, which is a small group compared to the Iowa City Area Craft Guild as a whole. Quilting is but one of many interests we all have within the guild. While we may be small in number, we are mighty in our creativity. Because the subject of quilting is so vast, we choose to explore new-to-us patterns and techniques in bite-sized pieces. A Pop-Up Quilt Show of our smaller creations is currently on display at our guild house, through May 11, 2026. The house is open only to members, so here are photos from the show for those who aren't able to attend in person. We will continue our explorations in the 26/27 program year with discussions on star quilts, pictorial quilts, log cabin quilts, borders and bindings, hexie quilts, paper piecing, using stripology rulers, and whatever else inspires us. You are welcome to join the guild, and attend our meetings. Enjoy the show!
