Ply Split Braiding.

Ply Split Braiding is more than just a tongue twister, it is a skill, a craft. The braider takes twisted fiber and splits it in just the right locations to produce a remarkable piece of art. The last meeting brought many works of art...As you look at these items, remember they began as a thread. The first picture shows Betty's necklaces and bracelets.

The next several pictures show various vessels completed by members. Betty used wraphia II for the first vessel shown

Bev incorporated two tone fiber for the next vessel.

These are just a few of the pieces from show and tell during the last meeting of the ply split braiders. I am just amazed at what can be done with a little thread, a lot of time and even more patience.
